Mike Wardian is an extremely accomplished American marathoner and ultra-marathoner, a World Record holder who was named Ultra Runner of the Year by IAU in 2010 and by USATF four times from 2008-2011. In April, Mike took on a different challenge: running the B.A.A. 5k blindfolded to support the Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired as part of the annual Blindfold Challenge.

In our latest Insight guest blog, Mike writes about his experience and how it gave him a new appreciation for the accomplishments of not only athletes who are blind, but of the challenges that individuals who are visually impaired overcome on a daily basis.
