MAB Community Services Announces the Election of The Honorable Margaret R. Guzman to Its Board of Directors
Judge Guzman is the First Justice of the Ayer District Court and has held assignments as an associate justice for the Dudley District Court. After earning a bachelor’s degree from Clark University and a J.D. degree from Boston University School of Law, she served as a trial attorney for the Committee for Public Counsel Services. In 2005, she became the supervising attorney for the Worcester County Bar Advocate Program and opened her private practice as a criminal defense attorney. Judge Guzman’s memberships have included the Worcester County Bar Advocate Program, the MA Judges Conference, the MA Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Planning Board of the City of Worcester. She is now a member of the Worcester Business Development Corporation and of Creative Hub Worcester, a community art center offering school art education for at-risk youth.

With roots stretching back to 1903, MAB Community Services specializes in individualized rehabilitation, and family-focused strategies that help individuals with a range of disabilities live full lives in the community. The organization’s three distinct divisions are the Ivy Street School, MAB Adult Disability Services, and Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired. The MAB team works tirelessly across the entire organization to promote acceptance, inclusion, equality, and diversity.
